Reservations for RV sites may be made no more than 60 days in advance, online at the District’s website, by telephone, or in person at the District office during business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Calls left on voice mail for reservations will not be returned. Please use the online system during non-business hours.
If the customer comes into the main office and pays for a site after the three (3) day cutoff time, the District will accept the money and notify District personnel to place a reservation tag on the site. If absolutely no one is available to put the reservation tag out, we will let the customer know that if someone occupies the site in question before a tag can be put out or before they arrive at the site, they will have to camp on some other non-reserved site or the District will refund their money.
Customers can park on any non-reserved RV site and the Camp Host or Lake Patrol will collect, but sites are not reserved unless they follow the required reservation procedures. If customers drive in without a reservation and then pay in advance for multiple days on the site, that payment is non-refundable, unless they can provide a seven (7) day notice, as the District is unable to rent that site to another customer.
Only one camping unit (RV, Travel Trailer, Pop-Up, Tent) is allowed on each RV campsite. Two (2) additional tents are allowed on an RV campsite, at no extra cost in addition to the original camping unit as long as space allows for it and it does not interfere with the neighboring sites.
Reservations are not taken for tent camping sites or day use/picnic areas, it is first come first serve; however, tent camping sites are designated. Camp Host or Lake Patrol will collect and put out the appropriate tag. Any kind of camper (pop-up, travel trailer, RV) must be on an RV site. Tent camping sites are for tents only.
Walleye Park tent camping sites will be charged the tent camping site rate of $25 per night. A maximum of two (2) tents per site is allowed, space permitting. Once all tent camping sites have been taken, NO other tents will be allowed. All other parks are rough tent camping and are charged a rate of $10 per tent.
The definition of a tent, regardless of size, is if it has a bottom, it is considered a tent. If it does not have a bottom, it is a canopy and there is no charge for it.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts may have official Scout campouts and camp free in primitive areas in all parks except Walleye.
No generators shall be operated on District Property in a manner so as to disturb others.
