Rumor Control
I thought this rumor would die on it's own but it appears to have a "Walking Dead" type life. The rumor is that the lake level will have to be lowered so the dam can be repaired.
This issue with the dam is essentially the same as the original dam remediation project. As you are aware, it was not necessary to lower the lake level for that construction project. The entire construction occurs on the down stream slope of the dam. The current issue would be resolved in the same way, with all construction on the down stream slope and no drawdown being necessary.
